Money Talk

Let’s talk about money… I have come into a deeper knowing and desire to offer my services at a wider range of price models to be able to share this powerful healing work with more people. There was a time of my life where I was affected by the cultural and generational energy and phenomenon of addiction and codependency. I received a lot of acupuncture, and attended a 9-month yoga/Reiki training program, all with sliding scale. These experiences helped me on my healing journey, and brought me into this work, which I am now sharing with you. As I deepen my understanding of power, privilege and oppression, I can see how important this healing work is. For it helped me when I needed it the most… I found myself with a new baby, and a husband who lost his job due to mental illness, autoimmune disease, and addiction. I can see now that I made it through because of these healing modalities and the privilege of family financial support and generous sliding scale options.

I offer a sliding scale options and have created space in my schedule to be able to offer a variety of sliding scale pricing options. If you can pay full price, please do. If you are able to pay it forward, please consider paying/donating a bit more to support others in our community. There is a lot of collective healing to be done, and it is my hope to contribute and share as much as I can.

Please contact me about codes to use on subscriptions for sliding scale. I offer between 10 and 50% off sliding scale pricing and there are two spots per month for the 50% pricing. If I am able, I offer a more deeply reduced price. Please set up a phone call so we can talk. I don’t want money to stop you from working with me, I will do my best to accommodate your needs.

I love this image from Alexis J. Cunningfolk, as a way to see where you may fall on the sliding scale.

Sliding Scale Description
(Thank you to Alexis J. Cunningfolk– for sharing her descriptions of the model)

The top price class ticket is the actual cost of the class or one-on-one session, and the full listed price.

The middle price is for those who are able to meet their basic needs but have little-to-no expendable income. Paying for this class may qualify as a sacrifice but it would not create hardship. (eg: a discount of 10-20%)

The bottom price is for those who struggle to meet basic needs and paying for this class would still be a significant hardship. (eg: I offer Name Your Own Pricing which is usually around 50% of the full price– let’s talk).

The Pay-It-Forward price is a few bucks above the actual cost of the class and that extra money goes towards supporting scholarships as well as future free and low-cost classes. Essentially it’s an opportunity to not only take your class but also support your fellow community members while you’re at it. Sweet!

This is also a great visual chart (you need to zoom in) to see where you may fall on the sliding scale. It can be easy to be in a “lack” mindset when really you have more financial means than most- I really like this chart as well, from the website Ride Free Fearless Money.
